Child Abuse Reporting
Section 409-1 of the New York Education Law, which became effective January 17, 2017, requires schools to post English and Spanish information for the toll-free number operated by the New York State Office of Child and Family Services (NYS OCFS).
Should you suspect or have knowledge that you or a child is being abused or maltreated report it immediately by contacting the number below.
The toll-free telephone number operated by the NYS OCFS to report child abuse or neglect is 1-800-342-3720.

If you believe that a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local police department.

Teacher Certification Lookup
- Whether the teacher has met State certification criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction
- Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State certification criteria have been waived
- The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the discipline of the certification or degree
- Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals, and, if so, their qualifications
